As Vice President of Grantmaking & Scholarships, Annette is responsible for directing and coordinating all aspects of grantmaking and scholarship functions of the Foundation.  She oversees the daily operations and management of grant/scholarship requests and applications, the committee decision making process as well as donor relations.  Annette also creates systems to effectively and efficiently administer the ever expanding work of the Foundation in this area, as well as manages technology systems within the organization.  Annette writes and administers both local and state grants for the Foundation.

Annette is also the Executive Director of BC CAN, a supporting organization and education programming arm of the Foundation.  Focused on creating a college-going culture and the provision of post-secondary education for all, Annette manages programming staff and works to develop organizational relationships using a collective impact model to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

A Battle Creek native and graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Annette received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.  She is a registered Landscape Architect, and worked several years in that capacity focusing primarily on recreation and community development projects as well as grant administration.  She was formerly the Parks and Recreation Director for Calhoun County and received several awards for her service in public works on various community projects.
