As the Community Initiatives Officer at the Battle Creek Community Foundation, Angela, focuses on community impact areas and initiatives set forth by the Regional Health Alliance, BCCF, community partners, and #BCVision. She manages and oversees many projects within the community, such as, Operation Fit, the Battle Creek Namaste Way Institute, Battle Creek BCycle, and several Issue Action Groups of the Regional Health Alliance. Her current responsibilities include facilitation and strategy support to #BCVision and assisting in creating a strategic framework of programs and special initiatives to be leveraged across the Greater Battle Creek area to increase knowledge, and gain community wide partners.  


Angela has a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Western Michigan University and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from Western Michigan University. As a strong advocate for healthy living, nutrition and activity Angela is engaged in life practices including focuses on wellness, personal and group fitness. Her advocacy focused on health has also been featured in Battle Creek Scene Magazine, a presenter at the Building Michigan Communities Conference and her role as a Fitness Ambassador for the Michigan Fitness Foundation.
