As Program Officer, Adam’s responsibilities include overseeing the Youth Alliance Committee (YAC), managing Donor Advised Funds, Grant Evaluation and involvement in BCCF special projects. YAC’s primary focus is to award grants to youth-serving organizations in Battle Creek.  Adam educates and facilitates the growth of YAC members in the areas of grantmaking, volunteerism and other leadership initiatives. The Battle Creek Community Foundation Youth Alliance Committee has been recognized by the Council of Michigan Foundations the past two years with the 2014 Media Usage of the Year Award and the 2015 Service Project of the Year Award. In addition, Adam has been working on Impact investing and social impact projects as well as project management and donor relations on special community initiatives such as ANYbodies Playground.


A native of Marshall, Adam joined the Community Foundation in December 2012. Adam is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he studied Education and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Non-Profit Administration from Western Michigan University.
