Application Tips from Former Recipients

What is the DeMaso International Study Fellowship?

The DeMaso International Study Fellowship is an opportunity for Calhoun County (Michigan) teachers to broaden their horizon with an international study and teaching experience.  Funded by Delia M. and Dora D. DeMaso, both long time local educators, the DeMasos understand that an international teaching and study experience can change the world for area students and teachers alike.

Who is eligible?

Calhoun County K-12 teachers who have a minimum of three years teaching experience.

What is the scope of the experience?

Applicants can design their own itinerary to teach and study abroad for a varying amount of time.  More information can be provided by contacting The Battle Creek Community Foundation, who can assist with aligning applicants with resources to plan the experience.  Funding requests of up to $20,000 may be considered.
