The Battle Creek Community Foundation’s leadership role is to identify, prioritize, and address the needs of the community, building appropriate support through programs and services, and creating positive changes in the community. This is accomplished by bringing people together to address community issues, and creating partnerships in order to develop new energies, ideas, resources, and systems to help meet the needs of the community.
The Youth Alliance Committee (YAC) was formed in 1989 by the Battle Creek Community Foundation, with the goal of involving high school students with improving the quality of life for area youth.
The Battle Creek Community Foundation spearheaded the effort for the creation of ANYbodies Playground – a barrier-free outdoor play environment where children with and without disabilities can play together.
The Regional Health Alliance (RHA) is a partnership of representatives from health care agencies, the business sector, government, and community groups, formed to identify health needs in the community, foster collaborations, and initiate and/or champion projects to promote the health of the community.
